Online valuations provided through our calculator are based on accurate customer declarations regarding vehicle age, mechanical components, and physical condition:
- Component Declarations: Valuations assume the presence of a complete engine, battery, catalytic converter/DPF, alloy wheels, and all standard running gear unless declared missing during quotation.
- Guaranteed Payout: Payout amounts are guaranteed upon physical inspection at collection or yard drop-off, provided the vehicle matches the online specification declared.
- Price Adjustments: If inspection reveals undisclosed component removal (such as a stripped catalytic converter or missing battery), standard deductions will apply.
2. Mandatory Documentation (Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013)
Under the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013 and UK End-of-Life Vehicles regulations:
- Photo Identification: Every vehicle seller must present valid UK government photo identification (current UK driving licence or passport supported by proof of address).
- V5C Vehicle Registration: The original V5C logbook (or official DVLA proof of ownership) must be presented upon handover.
- No Cash Law: By UK statutory law, cash payments for scrap vehicles are prohibited. All payments are issued via instant Faster Payments electronic bank transfer.
3. Collection Logistics & Appointments
Preferred dates and time slots selected during online booking are requested preferences. Our logistics dispatch team will contact you directly to confirm the exact driver arrival window and recovery vehicle allocation.

5. Used Car Parts & Online Orders
Pre-owned OEM auto parts listed on our website or through our official eBay store (asrautobreakers0173) are inspected and tested prior to dispatch:
- All parts are sold in accordance with UK Consumer Rights legislation and eBay Buyer Protection policies.
- Items must be verified for vehicle compatibility by the buyer using OEM part numbers prior to fitting.
6. Environmental Recycling & DVLA Certificate of Destruction
As an Environment Agency licensed Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF), ASR AUTOBREAKERS LTD depollutes all scrap vehicles in compliance with UK Environmental Permitting Regulations and issues an official DVLA Certificate of Destruction (CoD) to permanently de-register the vehicle from your name.
